I’d rather have risked £20m on an obscure youth player and gone bigger on a starting LW or ST. Just my opinion, but I’ll support Noni of course!

I will absolutely support Madueke when he pulls on our shirt, but it should have been Rodrygo and Eze with the former able to cover RW too. The club must know how hard it is for Chelsea players to be accepted (Kai) so I’m unsure why they keep putting more players in the firing line like this.

Signal to me that Martinelli’s up for sale. Would be sad to see him go, but would represent great profit for us to use in investing in an elite number 9.

Has to be Martinelli in my opinion - he cost next to nothing by modern standards so would represent a good profit. He hasn’t played great for a couple of seasons. Issue is we’d need a new left winger too!

It’s (likely) a significant outlay for a 29-year old. Yes, PL proven, but with no resale value it’s a big risk. Hopefully it’s just to look like the club tried something in this window and we can go big on a real superstar in the summer.
