I do have an anti-open world bias but I think in cases like this it's a very justified "putting a square peg in a round hole" complaint

if you're going to put a pseudo-open world area in your game I beg you to instead use the time and resources that would have gone to that to include even just one more actual level with actual level design

also the game looks and runs great on switch 1 which was one of my worries but the compensation for that is some absolutely abhorrent load times, which like I guess I get but still

like idk it feels like, not a great thing when I have to say "yeah this metroid prime game is great when it plays like a metroid prime game, I wish there was more of it instead of a giant empty desert hub"

I'm in the back half of metroid prime 4 and my verdict is: It's fine, but I would have gladly traded the giant empty desert and completely ass motorcycle combat for more actual levels

they should make a ghostbusters prequel about who slimer was before he died and became a ghost but like dont market it as a ghostbusters movie at all and the only connection it has is at the very end of the movie after he dies there's a single short shot of slimer

hearing is mostly back I think... still some pain and the swelling has gotten slightly worse but if it gets worse to a worrying degree I'll just go to the doctor again. Hoping the remainder of the antibiotics I've got knock it out
