This should have been done by now. I had everything studied and prepared. I did everything right.

Arty did get in touch with someone on the phone - I dunno how official it is, but supposedly they rejected me because of a "lack of economic or cultural impact"? It really makes me wonder if they somehow mixed up my freiberufler permit application for a selbständig application.

It is inconceivable how much American Money is actually just sitting in a handful of private accounts doing nothing, feeding no one and facilitating the creation of nothing but boats and the consolidation of land ownership. However big you think this pile of worthless money is, it is 1000x larger.

But to tell you the truth, I'd be kinda disappointed in myself if Heavensfall didn't "go there" from time to time. So maybe I just need to think of it in those terms.

It's a totally different skillset from when I'm writing, where I'm either writing for an audience of friends or just writing for myself. Even then, sometimes I know I'm writing something that's *extra* weird, but I'm okay with it cuz this is also a coping mechanism, and that leads me to dark places.

I do like to think I have at least a *little* charisma. I wouldn't have such a capable team of people backing me up if I didn't. But it's the sort of charm that's easier to apply in more intimate settings than screaming into the void.
