Best of both worlds. Satin open grain finish and metallic flake shine. A good friend has a Gibson Rick Beato in the sparkling burgundy satin finish and it’s stunning in person. That’s also a sweet guitar but I’m partial to P90s too.

I’ve always been partial to the satin charcoal black finish on the Vela (and other S2 standards). Something about it looking like a piece of driftwood with pickups just works for me.

That’s pretty sweet. I still would love a standard hard tail Vela. My first PRS came a couple years ago as a gift from my wife. A Starla SE and that guitar punches above its weight clsss. The DS-02 pickups from G&B definitely get Gretchy but I still think about putting in some TV Jones.

Video games too. Worked at a GameStop in a mall during those days. Aside from being stoked for new release day in my store I could hit up the Sun Coast and Sam Goody to see what they got.

Damn that’s from when you could get the proper Axis/EVH shape from Warmoth. Love that. I’ve played a couple EBMM Axis guitars and loved them. Same with the Peavey Wolfgang and HP Special. Very similar lineage in those guitars.

Got the same Strat. Bought it with the intention of swapping the pickups to something else because I already have pure vintage 59s in another Strat. But then I got it home and played it and yeah… those 59s sound amazing in this one too. Love the finish also.

Nah not for piracy actually. Needed it to play import pro wresting games. Fire Pro G, Toukon Retsuden 2 and 3 and AJPW King’s Soul.

P90s are wonderful. A buddy has the Gibson Rick Beato and that thing is amazing. I myself have a Gibson SG Standard with P90s but still GAS for a LP Special or Junior.
