My thinking was maybe it was a big city and hence would be more diversity, and that was perhaps akin to using cosmopolitan pejoratively.

For some reason, they don’t mind people with digital avatars as their streaming persona instead of their live selves, but not people from Sydney (Australia?) for reasons the replies say might be racist, but I’m gunna guess there’s also sexism, classism, ableism and other bigotries in there, too.
