My windshield got a nice asterisk crack from a rock that was picked up on my roadtrip home yesterday. Now a 2-foot wide horizontal crack. Star Trek promised transparent aluminum god damnit.

I have been watching all of the James Bond movies but in a haphazard order. Just watched Goldeneye then Die Another Day back to back. Total fucking whiplash in quality. Honestly impressive how well Goldeneye holds up. Die Another Day gave me psychic damage.

I have a few 5 gallon buckets full of metal junk I have collected since I started detecting. My initial plan was to melt it all into an amalgam but now I think I will find a way to crush it all into a tidy cube.

Predator: Badlands is a great sci fi action flick even if you don't give a crap about Predator as a franchise. It also became a psuedo-Pokemon film in the last half. Do recommend.

I enjoy reading up on the origins of music samples. One of the most popular sample use cases has to be Eric Prydz's use of Steve Winwood's "Valerie" on the track "Call On Me". What I didn't realize was that the vocal sample used for Call On Me was re-recorded by Winwood.
