Thank you - we packed everything away as best we could - all five wheelie bins in the shed and so on - and hid indoors. Winds finally started to reduce last night and when it was all over this was the worst of the damage. Thank you for checking!

Definitely the right thing to do then. Starting to feel like the storm may have peaked here in Orphir… if my tinpot wind gauge to be believed. Hope you are doing ok up there and the delivery ferries can get to you tomorrow.

Well we prefer this flag… but technically yes! Traded E17 for island life by the sea. Fortunately there’s a plenty of great fruit and veg places.. and also Tesco and Lidl. But yes… it looked beautiful.

37 1/2 years ago a small child arrived at Broadcasting House as a trainee Radio Engineer. Many different roles later, many of them fab and a couple less so, that’s me done.
