I even saved the clipping somewhere. It made the late night TV rounds too.

Hello Buchanan tartan!

And this typo from my local newspaper went viral a few years ago:

I'll guess the root cause is the ABS fault since many of the other systems rely on it or the data it provides. The cause could be simple as a faulty wheel speed sensor or damaged wheel speed sensor wiring. Do be aware that the car will be harder to stop on slippery roads without antilock braking.

Now I have "Taco Balls" set to the tune of "Jingle Bells" stuck in my head! 🤣
December 20, 2025 at 11:57 PM
I, for one, like your bum. Also, "FLARSE" has entered the lexicon now 🤣
December 20, 2025 at 11:54 PM
This doesn't seem ominous at all. 🤣

I've had somebody on Grindr go off on a tirade because I don't make myself available at their beck and call. Sure spontaneity is great, but not when it's thoroughly inconvenient.

My 92 Buick LeSabre had DRLs and automatic dusk-sensing headlights. There was no "off" position. I think it came with the fancy "Limited" trim.

Trim level and option package differentiation. Also, can't imagine that Evo is buying high-trim level Toyotas for fleet use.

I remember a loaner Pontiac Pursuit (Chevy Cobalt) had a similar feature, but I know it wasn't base model standard equipment. I think Subaru is the first to implement it as standard on all models.
November 6, 2025 at 2:59 AM
Also, considering DRLs have been required on new CDN market vehicles since 1988, it's astounding how many cars I see on the road without them. Nissan decided to use fog lamps for DRLs on a lot of models through the 00s and I doubt drivers notice the fog lamp bulbs have burned out.
November 4, 2025 at 8:26 AM
Yes, this. I've noticed that Subaru seems to have implemented this as standard at some point. You can set the lights to Auto, Park, or On and there's a momentary position for Off that springs back to Auto. The lights only remain in the off position until restart.
