Last time I discovered a new favourite family restaurant when I went to Takayama; Jolly Pasta. Like an up market Saizeriya. Pretty good. Tried to find a branch in Tokyo and they were really out of the way, way too far from my accommodation or what I was visiting

Things I really miss are picking up tasty treats at convenience stores and family restaurants, which I really love, though I can find Saizeriya frustrating depending if there's a ton of kids there. Just depends really as to who is there. Can be great or utterly frustrating
