I'm so sorry.
Cats get to love and be loved their entire lives. If things go as expected, they never have to say goodbye or grieve. It is a wonderful gift, though at moments like these, difficult in the giving.

The more ideologically rigid the Republicans stay, the more sway congressional Democrats will have. Which, while not great on good day, is still better than the alternative.

And if your representative is a Republican, it's doubly important to call them and make sure they know that, whatever the spending bill before them, it costs to much, doesn't bring down the deficit enough, and doesn't sufficiently protect gun rights.

Which means calling our representatives is even more important now - we need to let democrats know that their voters won't tolerate atrocities (be they against immigrants, trans people, or anyone else).

Genuine Q: How do we (random people of bluesky) do this? Or convince other people to do this? Can we register somewhere to get a vote? Or see who has a vote and lobby them? Or is endorsing on socials to create groundswell our best bet?

How is this the only reference to Antigone on bluesky right now??? I feel like it should be lighting up. As in, "I don't really care about the pardon, because I read Antigone in high school and have human expectations of leaders."
