Equal rights for others doesn’t mean fewer rights for you…it’s not pie. Father was Anti Fascist aka WWII Vet | 💚Glasses 💚Podcasts 💚Swearing 💚Democracy | Black Lives Matter
…then if they were R’s instead. They were frustrating as F.

The lesson isn’t ‘just elect a Republican’ the lesson is for the PEOPLE to understand democracy is a lifetime commitment and the PEOPLE need to do the work & exercise their power.

Well, there you go

Again, that’s privilege speaking and whether or not you want to look at that, let alone do the work to change that only you can answer but what it does reveal that thinking is damaging to a lot of people & communities

Even with S & M, Dems were still able to pass & do more...
November 12, 2025 at 12:54 AM
…it’s setting the conditions for the fight that is going to happen no matter what

Only the privileged would argue that what we’re experiencing is ‘worth it’

Unfortunately the privileged live in denial and think they aren’t on the menu so they typically refuse to vote for harm reduction for others
November 12, 2025 at 12:50 AM
Breaking the cycle is what we’re experiencing now

Primaries are real. Voters need to be engaged every day. The choice isn’t just on election day, it’s who is rising, who is active in the community, who are people championing, are they volunteering, etc...

It’s NOT about the candidate...
November 12, 2025 at 12:50 AM
…promise, how will they do it in the least favorable conditions, what compromises will they make, which communities are they willing to harm to get what they are promising, etc., etc., etc.

Why was Kenyatta left behind by volunteers & voters when he was arguably a much better candidate?
November 12, 2025 at 12:46 AM
Fetterman’s racism was well known well before he ran and I’d argue someone who did what he did then lied about it isn’t actually a progressive so it doesn’t matter what he presents himself as…past is prologue

Will they fight is only scratching the surface. HOW will they accomplish what they...

Like life, voting is always abt harm reduction

“We don’t vote for our favorites, it’s not about the candidate or a perfect platform. Voting is setting the conditions for our fight.” - Brittany Packnett Cunningham

If WE don’t want moderates in power, WE need to screen better & work our tails off

We need people to be more like him:

1) be willing to speak up and fight regardless of the odds
2) vote in every election, your entire ballot
November 11, 2025 at 9:03 PM
Yah but there’s zero reason to not try to get the ones who aren’t all in on screwing over their constituents
November 11, 2025 at 9:01 PM
Yeah, John Lewis was wrong, if we think we’ll lose we should just sit down and let it happen

Schumer is a Senator, this post is about calling House Reps
November 11, 2025 at 8:58 PM
Hang on to your demand for a ‘mildly worded letter’ and then be mad when he issues a 'mildly worded letter’ and for some bizarre need for 100% perfection for every person in the USA as if politicians are Santa Claus, you’ll help keep fascism healthy.

If anyone wants to find their House Rep and their local office number(s), this one is by Zip Code and is super easy:

I suspect if either/both loses their House seat they’ll seek another elected office. The triple stains of standing with their colleagues to 1) gut MediCal via gutting Medicaid, 2) making health insurance completely unaffordable, 3) prevent releasing Epstein files are nearly impossible to remove.

It’s NOT over!

Eliza does a phenomenal job explaining the upcoming process and the actions we can all take to pressure the 7 Dems + King to change their vote

Listen and then take action⤵️
Is the shutdown over? Not yet.
Tonight’s vote was only step 1 of 5.
There’s still another 60-vote hurdle, amendments, AND then the House.
Pressure matters right now—especially on Kaine, Rosen, Hassan, Shaheen.
Stay loud.

I wouldn't call SCOTUS a “win"

A very short delay - unfortunately the best possible choice from a smorgasbord of 💩options

➕ NOT over yet; more process left so it’s time to keep calling Yes voters & tell them how you feel + No voters to thank & ’stay strong'
