Just finished #JinwooChong 's "I Leave it Up to You" A man wakes up after being in a coma for 2 yrs. He moves in with his Korean American family to piece his life back together, & he must face his past and why he left them in the 1st place. Super relatable, also he happens to be gay. #asianauthor

Thank you @inquirer.com Nate File, Jadon George for writing about Save the Cecil B. Moore Library Coalition. Councilperon Jeffrey Young needs to stop ignoring the community's clear demands & release the funds for renovations. @freelibrary.bsky.social provides an important community center.

On this 50th Anniversary year of the end of the Vietnam War, I finally finished reading "The Sympathizer" by Viet Thanh Nguyen. Wow. From the first few pages, I realized I'd picked up something different.

Loved #ZenCho 's "Black Water Sister." How she weaves modern day immigrant life with family history, culture, and generations feels palpably real. The generational divide, how she discusses sexual orientation, it's all fantastic. #Asianwomanauthors #booksky

"The Space Between Here & Now" by #SarahSuk explores the relationship between a Korean-American daughter and father beautifully using a neurodivergent time jump twist. Generational divide, and how we work together to overcome. Connection, friendship, cultural connection. #Asianwomenauthors #booksky

Another book by @rfkuang.bsky.social that I loved. I could smell and feel the world she builds here, super researched, intriguing magic mechanics, another nuanced take on racism. Some found it slow compared to Poppy Wars, guess I'll have to find out. #Asianwomenauthors #booksky

Loved #angelamiyounghur 's "Folklorn" - Intriguing retelling of Korean folktales woven into a story of being btn 2 cultures, generational trauma, & the dual identities. A bit hard to follow at times due to the dreamlike quality of the story, but overall compelling #womanauthor #koreanwomanauthor

Enjoyed @rfkuang.bsky.social 's #Yellowface. More nuanced than I expected from the title. An exploration of identity, authorship, the oublishing industry, and creative ownership. Thank you R. F. Kuang for sharing your voice. #asianwomenauthors

Today is a good day for @nkjemisin.bsky.social 's "Red Dirt Witch" from "How long 'Till Black Future Month". She packs a punch into a brief span: the courage of Black girls, the power and love of Black women, the sacrifices they make, and the community they protect and build. Thank you N. K.

Dear @minjinlee.bsky.social Your voice held me like a gentle childhood friend guiding me along a familiar but long untraveled path. Thank you for persevering in writing this book over 10 years.
