Kemi Badenoch blames those crossing borders for our problems. It’s a lie aimed to distract.

The real issue is a system protecting the super-rich while nurses & carers can’t make ends meet. Tax wealth fairly, fund public services properly. This is how we give Britain hope again.

Cheaper, more frequent buses and trains would ease congestion, cut emissions, and make it affordable for people to leave the car at home.

Cllr Brian Smyth has called on Translink and the Dept for Infrastructure to cut fares and boost public transport services over the Christmas period.

Christmas traffic in Belfast is a nightmare every year - but it doesn’t have to be.

Northern Ireland can’t afford more excuses. Only real change - rooted in transparency, accountability, and bold green solutions - will protect our people, deliver clean energy, and stop the rot for good.

A graphic from the Green Party NI numbered '5' with the title "Ignoring Lessons, Risking Climate & Public Money." The central message is split into four lines: "LESSONS IGNORED," and "LOSSES MULTIPLIED," accusing the government of repeating past mistakes from a scandalous scheme, leading to greater financial and environmental costs. The Green Party NI's publisher information is at the bottom. Social media card number '6' titled "The Political Crisis Laid Bare." The core content boldly states "INFLATED PAYMENTS, MORE WASTE," directly alleging that a government scheme is characterized by excessive spending and continued misuse of public funds, exposing a deeper political failure. The graphic is from the Green Party NI. Graphic number '7' from the Green Party NI with the headline "Exposing the Cover-Up." It features a call to action reading "LIFT THE VEIL, DEMAND REAL REFORM," urging the public to seek transparency and substantive change regarding a mismanaged government initiative instead of a superficial fix. The final graphic in the series, number '8', titled "Call for Real Climate Leadership." It presents the Green Party's positive alternative with the slogan "NO MORE HALF MEASURES - PEOPLE & PLANET FIRST," advocating for policies that genuinely prioritize both societal well-being and environmental protection. Stormont’s RHI fiasco is a masterclass in failure: repeating old mistakes, wasting millions, covering up scandals, locking taxpayer cash into dodgy handouts till 2036, and sidelining climate progress for spin. Oversight shrinks, costs soar, and those in power bank on public silence.

A political graphic from the Green Party NI with a bold, white "1" in the top left corner. The main heading reads "False Closure" above a larger, impactful statement: "FAKE 'CLOSURE'" on one line and "SET TO REFUEL" on the next, with "RHISCANDAL" prominently displayed below it. This suggests a critique that a government scheme, the RHI Scandal, is being falsely declared resolved and is set to continue causing issues. The Green Party NI logo and publisher information are at the bottom. A social media card from the Green Party NI, numbered "2" in the corner. The title "Behind the Curtain of the Consultation" implies a critique of a lack of transparency in a government process. Below, the text "RHI BAILOUT TO CONTINUE" is presented in a large, bold font, conveying the core message that financial support for the controversial RHI scheme is expected to persist. The Green Party branding is at the bottom. Graphic numbered "3" with the accusatory title "A Scheme Rife with Fraud Left Untamed." The content is presented in two short, stark lines: "METER CHECKS SCRAPPED," and "CHEATING MADE EASIER." This directly alleges that the removal of oversight for a scheme (the RHI scheme) has actively enabled fraudulent activity. The publisher is the Green Party NI. The fourth graphic in a series from the Green Party NI. The title "Rushed Legislation & Dodged Scrutiny" claims a lack of proper parliamentary process. This is reinforced by the text below: "YEARS OF DELAY, NOW A MAD DASH TO HIDE THE TRUTH," accusing the government of delaying action and now rushing to avoid accountability. The Green Party's promotional line is at the bottom.

Green Party England & Wales just voted to abolish landlords - backing rent controls, ending buy-to-let, and a massive boost for council housing.

Should we do the same in NI?

Mal O’Hara on BBCNI Talkback today at 12:40 to discuss. Tune in. 📻
A photo of a printed policy document titled “E04 Abolish Landlords” from a Green Party conference booklet. The synopsis argues that the private rental sector has failed and extracts wealth from renters to landlords, calling for the abolition of private landlordism and increased support for building council housing. The motion outlines a five-step plan: introduce rent controls and abolish Right to Buy; tax landlords through a land value tax and business rates; remove buy-to-let finance; and provide finance to councils to build and buy back housing. The text appears on page 187 of the booklet.

The Greens requested an interview on the Laura Kuenssberg Show with Zack Polanski when he was elected leader, but were denied, with a promise to interview him during Green conference instead.

This was then scrapped citing the Manchester synagogue attack. Polanski is both Jewish and from Manchester

The Green Party condemns these threats outright, and calls on all parties to reject intimidation and violence.

Our city needs policing that protects local communities and democracy, not resources diverted elsewhere while sectarian tactics go unchecked.

Northern Ireland needs wholesale change in climate policy and governance - no more half measures or cover-ups. True leadership delivers transparent, accountable renewable heat and energy schemes that protect our planet and put people first. Real green reform is long overdue.

It’s time to lift the veil on the RHI scandal: payments keep ballooning while oversight shrinks, and the public is kept deliberately in the dark. Taxpayer money is locked in wasteful handouts until 2036, fueling a system rigged for fraud and failure. Transparency and reform are overdue.

Stormont’s ‘closure’ plan is a political crisis: costs are rising, rules slack, and taxpayer cash is locked in until 2036. No real reform here—payments are inflated and commitments extended, trapping taxpayers in soaring costs and possible abuse for over a decade.

The core content boldly states "INFLATED PAYMENTS, MORE WASTE," directly alleging that a government scheme is characterized by excessive spending and continued misuse of public funds, exposing a deeper political failure. Stormont is repeating the same expensive mistakes - ignoring every lesson from the first RHI scandal. Instead of real reform, the Department for the Economy doubles down on dodgy payments and weak oversight. Political spin replaces progress, risking public money and climate action all over again.

Stormont’s fast-tracked RHI “closure” is a slap in the face to democracy. Rushing legislation with barely any Assembly scrutiny means cover-ups win over transparency. The public deserves answers and accountability - not secret deals behind closed doors.

The RHI scandal was built on fraud and abuse - and now Stormont is making it easier to cheat again. Scrapping meter readings and softening checks puts taxpayer money on the line for more waste and corruption. This isn’t fixing the problem - it’s refuelling it.

Stormont’s “closure” consultation is a smokescreen. Payments aren’t stopping; they’re shifting from real heat use to inflated historic estimates, letting public money flow unchecked. Cloak-and-dagger bailout hides the truth, prolonging the costly RHI scandal.
