Trump is trying to rule like a king and chip away at our democracy. But this country does not belong to kings or dictators. It belongs to us.

We do not bow to power.
We build people power.

Join us and our allies on October 18: https://ow.ly/BJfI50X81tf

No Kings
As the president escalates his authoritarian power grab, the NO KINGS non-violent movement continues to rise stronger. We are united once again to remind the world: America has No Kings and the power belongs to the people.

Groups calling out Gov. Newsom during #ClimateWeekNYC He has a choice: Let Big Oil Trump your climate promises or fight for working people and our planet?

@cagovernornewsom.bsky.social, which side are you on?

📍 NYC Climate Week: “Gov. Newsom: If you can’t take on Big Oil, how can you take on Trump?”

We JUST dropped this banner because Newsom can’t claim climate leadership while siding with Big Oil billionaires.

@cagovernornewsom.bsky.social—don't let Big Oil 𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘮𝘱 your climate promises!
A banner featuring Governor Gavin Newsom in front of an oil pumpjack. The banner, hanging over a balcony in downtown New York City, says: "Gov. Newsom: If you can't take on Big Oil, how can you take on Trump? Don't let Big Oil trump your climate promises!"

American Samoa says no to deep-sea mining. The Trump administration might do it anyway.
The CEO of a seabed mining startup says the decision about mining leases will be made in Washington, D.C.

It's time to resist. Take the pledge:

This isn’t about safety. It’s about intimidation and control. It’s about using the military to silence dissent and turn public spaces into fortresses. It’s a clear sign of democratic backsliding—and it has to end.

The big “law and order” national guard turnout out was a clear abuse of emergency power and waste of tax dollars. Instead of protecting democracy, they’ve been picking up litter and occupying a city with a record low crime rate.

For 30 days, D.C. was under a heavy military occupation, supposedly to protect the city from chaos and crime. But guess what? There was barely any crime. So what are the National Guard troops doing now? Cleaning up trash.

Time to End the Occupation of DC. It’s been 30 days of Trump's takeover of the DC police department - the National Guard’s New Mission: Street Sweeping.

"SpaceX and two other companies…" Guess who one of those other companies is?

Energy Transfer, a.k.a. the Big Oil company that has a $660+ million verdict against Greenpeace entities 😒

The oligarchy is attacking free speech, the right to protest, and now union rights. It's #TimeToResist
sanders.senate.gov
This is what oligarchy looks like:

Today, 2 Trump judges ruled that the NLRB’s structure is unconstitutional giving Elon Musk, worth $410 billion, & other union busters the absolute power to exploit workers & violate labor law with impunity.

This disastrous decision cannot stand.

As environmentalists we must stand in solidarity with the workers movement to overcome the power of the profit-seeking corporations that pollute our planet. When workers win, we all win!
greenpeaceusa.bsky.social
Today, working people are again struggling to make ends meet. Decades of attacks on unions have eroded wages and working conditions. And now hundreds of thousands of working people are being asked to bear the cost of emergency expenses like evacuation and hotel stays in the wake of climate disaster.
greenpeaceusa.bsky.social
Labor leaders protested and organized for these rights during the height of the Industrial Revolution, while the average American worked 12-hour days and seven-day weeks in order to eke out a basic living and children toiled in mills, factories, and mines across the country.
greenpeaceusa.bsky.social
You can thank labor unions and collective bargaining for better wages, safer working conditions, and establishing parameters of work life that have become commonplace and law, like the eight-hour-workday, five-day work week, protection for children in the workplace, and the federal minimum wage.

Hoping everyone enjoyed their Labor Day! We spent our weekend reflecting on why organized labor is so important and how essential it is to environmental action 🧵
