Every week, 150–175 families come for nourishment — both spiritual and physical. By creating a farm, this church chose to go beyond boxed and canned goods, showing how growing our own food can restore dignity, health, and self-sufficiency while feeding the community with care.

Putting America first means putting our children first — yet too many Black and Brown kids are still exposed to lead, a toxin that harms their cognitive development and their futures. Environmental justice is about protecting the health, potential, and dignity of our communities every single day.

Understanding a family’s reality requires compassion, not judgment. For many, survival looks like whatever food they can afford and that dignity should be honored, not criticized. When we shift our lens, we see the strength, protection, and love families offer even in hard times.

We can’t build power if we’re not in conversation with each other. Our younger and older generations are hearing different messages, holding different ideologies, and often fighting separate battles. Naming that truth is the first step toward real unity, clarity, and collective purpose.

We need to reconnect with our young people — reminding them that our elders carry wisdom earned through struggle and survival. This isn’t the first time our communities have faced violence or setbacks, and yet we rise. Hold on to hope. Your pain won’t last. Better days are coming.
