I addressed your point a few posts back. And how do you know they didn't say something to her about what she said? I get what you are saying. I do. We weren't there. We read an article. We don't know if she meant to dehumanize them and picked the wrong words. So we will end it there. Have a good day

She said something you picked up on and took it in another direction. And you have deflected from my question. Do you live down here or walk through there? Have you had a homeless person walk into your business and attack you there? Because that's what's happening. Can you answer that question?

You are making this the focus when it isn't. This is about the problem they are having down there. What are your thoughts about the actual subject and problem? Have you walked through there? Do you live in the area?

I honestly don't think she meant to "dehumanize" them. But still, the problem remains that there is their drug use, hanging out, drug dealing, aggressive behavior and lack of attention by the city. Her buying a hotel won't help the situation. I suspect you don't walk through there nightly.

Yeah, that caught my eye. I immediately wondered if she lives here or if she lives in NM (or elsewhere). There is no "new Breed" of homeless people. It's different in different places (I lived in NYC for 12 years and it is different there) but a lot is still the same anywhere you go.

...What gets me is that it is SO obvious that drugs are being sold right outside the Flats. And people are standing inside the locked door that they can just yank open. They wander into the bar next door and get aggressive. I have been in there and helped get some of the people out. It's ridiculous.

Was at the Spectrum for the concert tour that The Mothership first landed onstage. Saw it again when Clinton landed it at Red Rocks Amphitheater in CO at the Smokin' Grooves Concert on July 21st, 1997.
