No he schools her again and again if you watch other clips. I honestly don’t know why the bring him on (although I think it’s great). She probably doesn’t either, given the brain-melting potential for their audience.

I think this is right but would be inclined to guess there is more threat than “promise” involved. I believe Trump likes to have people around he has leverage over and enjoys the control dynamic. He often seems to do things just because he can.
He obviously felt loyalty was a problem last term.

That she knew she was beat and pivoted so quickly to wrapping the interview with a face-saving frame is the worst part of this. There’s no actual consideration that his ideas may be valid, just obeisance to the core narrative.

It’s about weaponizing the bureaucracy against ultimately everyone who speaks out. People are losing their TSA clearances for observing ICE.

It’s straight-up weaponizationnof the state against enemies. Lemon being arrested is a sign they perceive his influence to be meaningful. They don’t care about the hypocrisy; blind acceptance of contradictory and counter-factual positions is a condition of playing ball for the Trump team.

Even MLK's people said white people joining their coalition that made a big difference. Different times/context but people with at least the perception of more to lose putting themselves at risk for those more vulnerable is a good thing, and we need more. I just wish the narrative were different.

I heard someone say the current moment in MN is different from Black Lives Matter “because people are seeing that ordinary Americans are being subject to an authoritarian police state” 🤔
Credit to everyone putting their bodies on the line, but the subtext here is older white people means it’s real.
