Well yes ‘in the real world’ but this is not and in any case I took it more as a kind of metaphor - these party people were so fantastically ostentatiously wealthy (150yo+ baseball memorabilia) that they’d become oblivious to more mundane matters.

And huge bonus - it being so good it finally triggered me to watch Legion, which if anything, 3EPs in, is even better. Having been a huge Fargo fan I can’t believe it escaped viewing for so long.

It’s a parallel film, quite independent of ‘Alien’. I think I watched it first actually. One of the best SF films ever made and there aren’t many, worth a watch.

Party people were in the building, not the crashed ship. It was kind of the point they hadn’t noticed a starship crashing into their building.

Thoroughly enjoyable event, thank you. Was particularly inspiring to hear how you wrote a novel a year for 17 years before being published and delivered that without any detectable trace of bitterness 🙌🏻
