And don't get me started on the Bruce Lee thing. This and Licorice Pizza with these anti-Asian scenes that pop up out of nowhere. Guys, I get "that's how it was" & you want to show the ugliness too, but the loving recreations of midcentury LA undercut the alleged satire at play here.

I thought the finale was at best, unearned, and at worst, vile and misogynistic. There were at lot of really nasty anti-female jabs in there, from Leo getting rough with his child co-star to Brad casually murdering his wife. At odds with a movie that to many is a love letter to the era.
