Visit the RI State House Charter Museum where “Brave Men as Ever Fought” is currently on display. This magnificent painting, on loan from The Museum of the American Revolution in Philadelphia, depicts the first integrated regiment in American Military history- 1st RI Regiment.

I was happy to start the day by addressing the RI Academic Decathlon at Bryant University. What a pleasure to be around such bright, inquisitive, and hard working young people. Seventeen high schools, made up of RI’s future innovators and leaders, competed today.

One hundred and sixty one years ago today the most famous ten sentences ever uttered by an American President were delivered at Gettysburg National Cemetery -to a nation divided well beyond the divisions we face today. It’s always worth a re-read if you can find a few minutes today.
