Is it even in the Feds' interest to find the shooter? As long as we all don't know who it is they can fabricate any convenient profile of the killer they want.

His supporters don't think about "representation". They want an avatar for their grievances and resentments and power/revenge fantasies, that's it. These people aren't interested in civics or governance or even their own economic fate or the well-being of the nation.

We continue to generate lots of good ideas. We just lack a political and economic system that will invest in them, because the only idea they care about is short term profit for a very small number of people.

Battletech is so great because you don't have to understand it all in order to dive in and enjoy it. Heck, a key part of the in-universe experience is that they also don't fully understand what is going on, in terms of all the history and lore and politics--just like the real world.

Even being shot himself hasn't given him a shred of empathy in these situations. He is a monster beyond redemption.

I think its a wide spread. We have evidence that some (e.g., Miller) were always bad people, who gleefully embraced evil ideologies from the start and use Trump to enabling them. And others, like Rubio, who somehow got corrupted by Trump, maybe through weakness and amoral opportunism.

Seriously. I keep coming back to this. If I were them I'd literally be throwing up every hour from the intellectual and moral poison accumulating in my mind.

The whole regime is such a weird mess of childishness and evil, spawned from the darkest corners of the internet.

I find Total War games to be the most addictive and compelling of any PC game franchise. The combination of turn based and real time strategy and how they influence each other is amazing. Have you tried Medieval 2? I think that one is the easiest to get into.

Take notice, red staters. You are not safe from this madman. Nobody is. He doesn't care about any of you. Enabling him will eventually bring ruin to everybody, regardless of party or politics.

If he has committed impeachable offenses, it is their duty to impeach. It should not be a strategic decision. Whether or not the senate convicts or Johnson interferes. They should do their duty on principle, regardless of outcome. And also fight Trump with every other tool at their disposal.

Same. Every day, every hateful pathetic rambling is a fresh hell.

Democracy is the only just system of government because it is the only one that exists through the consent of the governed.

*slowly raises hand in the back* I do.

These countries are going to impose reciprocal policies on Americans and its going to make even routine travel and vacations a potential nightmare. This is madness. They need to stop this irreversible path to mutually assured oppression.

I wonder if Tim Curry would have played himself as a Muppet in that role even if every other character was a fellow human actor?
December 10, 2025 at 3:57 AM
Don't all the early Muppet movies follow that same formula? I think its only in the recent Muppet era that human actors "Muppet it up", which ruins it for me. But yeah Muppet Christmas Carol is the best.
December 10, 2025 at 3:56 AM
Yes, and its absolutely horrifying. There are no limits to his nihilistic narcissism. He'd rather see all life on Earth extinguished than endure the consequences of his own actions. He loves and values nothing but himself.

What are the most abundant low-value carts that you salvage?
December 9, 2025 at 9:33 PM
Ah, federalism.
December 9, 2025 at 9:24 PM
Why use an subjective term like "good" without any context, in order to normalize the current catastrophe? How is anybody supposed to take this vaguepost in good faith?
December 9, 2025 at 9:20 PM
I love this
