Goat (source: pexels.com) I got out of bed very early today because I feel asleep so early on new year's eve. On the bright side, I feel terrific. I'm ready to start this new year on the right foot. The universe is going to cooperate with me. Mercury joins the sun, Venus and Mars in Capricorn today, making this old goat feel as if he's in his element.

This post from a few years ago intrigues me because yesterday someone at one of my jobs told me that my "energy" was attracting customers to me. I was happy to be working on Boxing Day, and I guess that everyone could see that I was happy to be out and about. Having a stellium in my third house is good for me.

Taurus (source: pexels.com) By late December, I've usually composed a couple of end-of-the-year lists. Typically, I rank the signs in order of who annoyed me the most, and sometimes I even provide new year's resolution for all the zodiac signs when I'm feeling ambitious. I might get around to doing that because I've got some time off next week, but I might not.

I just came across this post, and I couldn't be more thrilled with myself for living up to the resolution I declared on this day last year. I remember feeling this way going into 2025, but I forgot how specific my intentions were as 2024 drew to a close. I have discussed 2026 on this blog, but I haven't really formalized a new year's resolution just yet because the new moon in Capricorn happens on January 18.

Christmas Lights (source: pexels.com) I'm typically quite grouchy right around Christmas. The Capricorn sun forms an opposition with my natal moon on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning every year, and that explains why I'd rather just be left alone for a couple of days at a time when the universe has other plans for me. Anyway, other factors in my chart aren't contributing to my seasonal grouchiness right now, and I can be thankful for that.

Measuring Tape (source: pexels.com) I got on the scale yesterday to discover that I weigh less than I've weighed in years. That's quite an achievement considering that I've been trying to slim down for almost a decade. Anyway, I'm happy to get to the end of the year feeling as if I've achieved something. If I had to make a list of my greatest achievements in 2025, this one would be near the top.

I was glad to rediscover this post I wrote a couple of months ago on a morning where I needed some reassurance about the path I've chosen to follow. I just need to get to the first week of January. Until then, I don't need to panic about where I'm going because I'm doing just fine right where I am . . .

The moon is in Capricorn, Mars is in Capricorn, the sun enters Capricorn tomorrow morning, and Venus enters Capricorn in four days from now. If it doesn't already feel like Capricorn season, the cosmic weather is going to change very soon. Bags (source: pexels.com) I already published a post about my intentions when tomorrow's new moon arrives, but now I realize that the day will challenge me with a rather mixed bag of confusing planetary alignments. Not only does the sun conjoin my natal Mercury, but transiting Mars also opposes my natal moon and transiting Venus opposes my natal Jupiter. I want to look at this Sagittarius new moon as a time of opportunity, but the universe may have other plans for me.

Friday's new moon coincides with the sun conjoining my natal Mercury. Last year, I published this post about the latter transit. This year, I'm going to try to use this event as a catalyst for positive change as I embark on a quest for more-gainful employment. I'm not sure that looking for a job in the middle of the holiday season is the right thing to do, but I suppose retailers discover which employees are nothing more than dead weight this time of year.

I woke up this morning feeling energetic and ready to take on the world. I didn't realize that Mars had moved into Capricorn until I read it on "Café Astrology." Mars is speeding through the zodiac right now, so it's only going to be transiting Capricorn for about five weeks. Nevertheless, I'm looking forward to moving around a little more as a result of having the red planet transiting my sign.

"Café Astrology" provides the following interpretation for the annual event: "You are mostly cheerful in your approach to others, and perhaps somewhat intellectual, during this transit. Essentially, you are quite companionable now. You enjoy talking about what interests you, and you find great value in the exchange of ideas.

With Neptune going direct yesterday, we've reached another milepost in this interesting voyage of three of the outer planets as they vacillate between house cusps. When I reread this post I from last year just a moment ago, I was more impressed by the political predictions that I put out into the universe than the fashion advice that I intended to provide when I composed the first entry in this series of posts.

Opportunities (source: pexels.com) I'm feeling quite optimistic this morning. The sun just joined Mars in my third house and my mind is going a million miles a minute. Jupiter is conjunct my midheaven (about to move back into my ninth house), and I feel as if luck is on my side. What's more, transiting Mars is opposing my natal Jupiter, making me revel in my overconfidence and abundant energy levels.

I've reblogged this post before, but it's as insightful today as it was when I first published it eight years ago. I'm going out with my friend Tracy today. Years ago, we were roommates. I was waiting on tables back then while attending university, and she was a hairstylist. Strangely, we both ended up becoming astrologers. She knows a lot more about asteroids than me.

You may want to break out of your rut but find that you cannot, because some barrier is holding you back from going out and being yourself. I was just thinking about the phenomenon of "rejection" because of a strange dream I had last night. Just a moment later, as I was going through my old blog posts for this final day of November, I came across this post I wrote four years ago. It's a rather odd coincidence if I do say so myself. Anyway, I think I'm going to explore my fear of rejection more thoroughly in the new year.

Here's a post I wrote back in 2019 that seems rather prophetic considering that today is American Thanksgiving and Neptune is about to go direct as it prepares to make its final exit from the sign over which it rules. It makes me worry that things are going to get far worse in the USA before they get any better.

It spent about three months in Aries during the warmer months of the year, and it will return to that sign around Valentine's Day next year.
