Just a reminder that banning TikTok was Trump’s idea in the first place, TikTok went dark voluntarily before the ban was even set to go into effect, and Trump is not actually President yet and thus does not currently have the power to either enforce or suspend the ban.

I’d be in favor of a liberal echo chamber… obviously it would be more informed and based on research and not fear.
One thing I find interesting about the echo chamber complaint is that an echo chamber just won a presidential election.
Put aside the convo of whether it’s “good” or “bad” for a moment. The far right has devoted enormous resources + time to building echo chambers & loathes spaces they don’t control

The "bluesky is an echo chamber" think pieces that keep popping up really tickle me because they show how certain people genuinely believe social media should be for debating and arguing and not talking about the things that make you happy and sharing art with the world.

Republican talking points are NEVER the real concern. It’s what they are using to keep people looking at their neighbors as the problem instead of the elite!
The point is: Of course there is waste and fraud in the federal government. And sure, go cut some.
But when you’re also lowering taxes on corporations and the rich, and you refuse to cut the bloated military budget, it undercuts the notion “debt” is the real concern. #DOGE
