Haha. “Please don’t die. I’ll be in a lot of trouble.”

I’ve done some hot/humid races, but never that bad. Kudos to you!

Shout out to the old guy at the coworking space who is here almost every afternoon doing nothing but watching YouTube (or maybe TikTok) videos with sound full up on his phone.

Retirement seems nice. Zero effs given.

OH that's brutal! That would've been a DNS (did not start) for me I think lol. And yes of course it's always perfect conditions the next day.

PSA:

If reading wasn’t political, they wouldn’t be banning books.

Banned Books Week starts on Sunday, October 5—there are a ton of ways to support!

Find ways to get involved here: www.ala.org/bbooks/banne...

(If you're overwhelmed, even just checking out, buying, or elevating a banned book is helpful! Talking about them w/ the ppl in your life is an action!)

I got to do this race several times during the summer I worked on the Brewers' grounds crew. No, I did not get to win (the winner is chosen beforehand, so yes, it's fixed!) And I can confirm the costumes are bulky and awkward and really effing hot!
