So. How are those of you using Kagi liking it?

SMDH Google, obviously Dolly the Sheep is not a mononym.

I haven't looked but I'd guess it'd be hard to find data that gets at this exactly. Vehicles by household, yes, but there could be lots of reasons people add/get rid of cars (in this economy?!) Wonder if anyone surveys this more specifically but don't know.

And how conditions on transit, convenience of transit, affect those and each other.

Re: choosing bus, choosing to drive for a given trip, been thinking a lot about how the sum of everyone's choices (whether it's because of safety concerns, convenience, whatever) add up in transit ridership.

It's a good question. Relatedly, I wonder how many households go down to one car from two, and how all of that has changed over time.

FWIW (and I know it's a lag), it is scheduled to be in your print paper tomorrow.

Many riders have noticed trains feeling safer just in the last few months.

But, for example, I've talked to lots of women who have a cutoff time for taking LRT, and it's not partic. late. Or switched to buses, etc. because feel safer.

Some people want to ride more but might need to be convinced.

I ride light rail a lot and talk to transit riders a lot.

Conditions over the last several years have caused some riders to change how, when, if they ride.

As Metro Transit works to bring riders back, esp to light-rail, that perception remains an issue.

Serious crime is down on Metro Transit, but riders continue to report “quality of life” crime that makes some feel unsafe on light rail.

Metro Transit is looking at turning the Purple Line BRT (proposed St. Paul -> Maplewood) into a more arterial affair, versus dedicated bus lanes in Maplewood after city council opposition. Still along White Bear Ave. Project update here:

Right. At county board, they sort of said that could be potentially re-explored in the future but was going away.

Re: Northstar suspension. Metro Transit planning to run buses for parts of route, but bus plans don't address outside the 7co metro. The Sherburne Co. Board is discussing possible partnership w/Metro Transit to run buses to Big Lake.

Big Lake-St. Cloud still appears to be a ?

Anybody know what this building was originally? 301 Thomas Avenue North, near Utepils. Was it part of the Fruen Mill complex?

St. Paul's Midway neighborhood has struggled to find its footing for decades, sometimes falling through the cracks of political boundaries.

Despite signs of progress, the Midway's struggles are as visible as ever. Neighborhood advocates say the city needs a plan.

That is a good point! Yes, this would include that week.

And overall ridership. BRT a relative bright spot.
