I'd be checking to see if there's others having the same issue with that specific make and model number.
Try a search using the model number and board problem or a combo of Trane board problem, or even just 2 yo Trane a/c breakdowns.

That's a long time to wait for repair. What did they do to fix it the last time it broke?

I have questions...like, article states "recently ceased near Ecuador...in late June" and a month later the square grooper is offloaded, in Florida? 🤔

"Since one of the key ingredients for tropical cyclone development is a deep feed of moisture, Saharan Dust often acts to inhibit tropical development."
It may be lower this year but this map shows it's still occurring.

This is so cool. When I was a kid, a neighbor was a used car salesman. He bought him an amphibious car. I remember seeing him and my Dad taking a ride in it at a nearby lake. A walk down memory lane! 🙂

Have 2 HVAC certified members in the family. Over the years we've had, or serviced, all of the different brands. We have a Goodman unit now mainly because they've been dependable and parts were readily available.

Sounds more like a compressor problem, but could be something minor like dirty coils or low on gas.
Good thing you have some type of backup.
