Disagree. It's a consequence of modern office schedules. Shifting the hours back improves the amount of daylight hours before and after the typical workday.

The way that we divide, label, and organize time is just a social construct. Time zones, clock times, and working hours are human decisions, so we could certainly adjust them to better match how people actually live and function. If the system no longer serves people, it's reasonable to change it.

I'm not objecting to winter weather. I'm objecting to losing usable daylight. Permanent DST would better align daylight with modern schedules and the hours when most people are active, instead of concentrating sunlight in early morning hours when most people are still asleep.

Permanent DST, for the love of all things. Without it, it's dark when I get up for work and dark when I get done with work for months out of the year and it's miserable.

You pay a monthly fee called the "premium" to be enrolled in an insurance plan. Many plans also have a deductible, which is an amount that you must pay out of pocket in addition to your monthly premium before the plan covers anything at all. It's a wonderful system, obviously. /s
