The first batch of insulin syringes procured with a generous contribution from the Government of China have arrived in @unrwa.org warehouses in the #WestBank. These insulin syringes will soon be distributed to diabetic patients, ensuring a regular and uninterrupted supply.

Yesterday I had a series of constructive meetings in Cairo at the League of Arab States with H.E. Dr. Nada El Agizy and H.E. Dr. Faed Mustafa, reinforcing our shared commitment to protecting the mandate of @unrwa.org, and sustaining the Agency's indispensable work in support of #PalestineRefugees.

The release of 20 Israeli hostages and nearly 2000 Palestinian prisoners this week marks both an end and a new beginning. As the long-awaited ceasefire starts in Gaza, this moment must mark the beginning of building a durable peace across the occupied Palestinian territory, including the #WestBank.

The 2025 olive harvest season has started across the #WestBank, at a time when settler violence against Palestinian communities, including the agricultural sector, continues unabated. This week alone, hundreds of olive trees have been uprooted or destroyed by settlers.

This #DayOfTheGirl, we honour the resilience of all girls on the frontlines of crisis, especially those forcibly displaced in the northern #WestBank. More than 6,000 girls remain uprooted from their homes, with their education disrupted and their futures uncertain. Yet, they refuse to give up.
October 11, 2025 at 9:51 AM
Today, some 46,000 Palestine refugee children will be started the school year in @unrwa.org schools across the #WestBank. Amid heightened violence and displacement, our schools provide safe havens for children to learn, delivering both quality education and support for their wellbeing.
September 1, 2025 at 6:33 PM
Thousands of #PalestineRefugees from #Gaza – labourers and medical patients with their accompanying family members – remain stranded in the #WestBank since October 2023, unable to return to their homes and without a regular source of income.
August 21, 2025 at 5:42 PM
This #WorldHumanitarianDay, we pay tribute to the dedication and resilience of @unrwa.org staff who persevere in their work supporting #PalestineRefugees in the #WestBank under impossible conditions.

UNRWA's Palestinian staff carry the mandate of the Agency on their shoulders.

This week, approximately 8,600 boys and girls have been participating in summer camps at 48 @unrwa.org schools across the #WestBank. At a time when the West Bank is witnessing heightened violence and heavy movement restrictions, there are very few safe spaces for children to play and learn.

@unrwa.org and partners aim to reach the most vulnerable families with temporary rental assistance, enabling them to access safe and dignified shelter. With support from @ec.europa.eu (DG ECHO), UNRWA has begun to distribute Cash for Rent to nearly 5,000 families from the northern #WestBank.
July 16, 2025 at 5:51 PM
Cash for Rent provides a lifeline for #PalestineRefugees who have been forcibly displaced from their homes in camps in the northern #WestBank. Access to #SafeShelter is a human right and a basic need during emergencies.

This reflects a broader trend in the #WestBank of land confiscations, and rampant settler violence with impunity, resulting in coercive conditions raising concerns of #ForcibleTransfer. Communities like Umm al Kheir and others in Masafer Yatta are at imminent risk of #ForcedDisplacement.
July 4, 2025 at 8:31 PM
Umm al Kheir is located immediately next to the Israeli settlement of Carmel. In the past days, tensions have mounted. Armed settlers have been entering the community during the day and at night, damaging property and attempting to extend the fence of the settlement deep into Umm al Kheir’s land.
July 4, 2025 at 8:31 PM
For several years, the #PalestineRefugees of Umm al Kheir in the South Hebron Hills have been facing settler harassment and violence, home demolitions and administrative measures that cumulatively erode the way of life of this Bedouin community that @unrwa.org serves.
July 4, 2025 at 8:31 PM
The camp residents must have access to their homes, and be allowed to return without delay. @unrwa.org schools and teachers prepare for children to start the new school year, and health centres stand ready to receive patients again. #PalestineRefugees must be supported to rebuild and recover.
June 25, 2025 at 6:40 PM
The use of force and systemic violence rarely provide sustainable solutions but rather sow the seeds of division for generations to come. For the sake of all, these cycles of violence in the Middle East must come to an end.
June 17, 2025 at 5:20 PM
For more than sixty years, UNRWA has provided training and education to #PalestineRefugees in the #WestBank, equipping them with skills for their future. Sending my congratulations to all the students for their hard work! #UNRWAWorks

Every year, we celebrate the end of the scholastic year at the @unrwa.org Ramallah Women’s Training Centre, showcasing the academic and vocational achievements of our students. It is a day filled with pride and excitement.

Following months of aggravated harassment directed towards the site and the entry into force of two anti-UNRWA Knesset laws in January 2025,
@unrwa.org was forced to vacate the compound and withdraw under protest all its international staff.
May 26, 2025 at 3:25 PM
The group asserted they were “liberating” the “former UNRWA headquarters” on the occasion of Jerusalem Day, which for Israelis marks the reunification of the city. However, under international law, East Jerusalem is occupied territory and its annexation by the State of Israel is not recognised.
May 26, 2025 at 3:25 PM
At midday today, a group of Israelis led by a Member of Knesset and accompanied by Israeli media entered without authorisation into @unrwa.org compound in #EastJerusalem. The group brought flags and erected banners, seeking to claim the site for the establishment of a new Israeli neighbourhood.
May 26, 2025 at 3:25 PM
UNRWA showcased its work in education, health, and basic services – part of a decades-long commitment to serving #PalestineRefugees, even as the #HumanitarianSpace in the #WestBank including #EastJerusalem continues to shrink.
May 22, 2025 at 8:16 PM
Today, children attending @unrwa.org schools in Jalazone Camp had the opportunity to tell UK Minister for International Development Jenny Chapman firsthand of their determination to learn and their hopes for the future, despite the deteriorating security situation and increase in #protection risks.
May 22, 2025 at 8:16 PM
The IDF says they are investigating the incident. However, claims such as “mistakenly identifying [the delegation] as a threat” and firing “warning shots” don't fully capture the severity of the events, raising serious concerns over the way rules of engagement are applied to unarmed civilians.
May 21, 2025 at 2:43 PM
This incident is a stark reminder of the lax use of excessive force routinely deployed by Israeli Security Forces in the #WestBank, often with lethal consequences. While the West Bank is not a war zone, so far this year 137 Palestinians have been killed in occupation-related violence.
