This was not hard to fact check. Reuters is a subsidiary of ThomsonReuters, and not a “different company” as reported by @maddow.msnbc.com.

The liberation of Syria has allowed this man to walk free after 43 years as a political prisoner of the Assad regime. Ragheed Al-Tatari was Syria’s longest-serving political detainee. And he is now, reportedly free.
