Likewise, you don't HAVE to interpret something in a way that upsets or offends you if you don't want to. Art as a concept is allowed to be interpreted. It's not like the blueprints to a bridge, where if you interpret it differently the bridge collapses and people die. That's why art is cool.

-If you're white and in a position/place where ICE is around looking for immigrants: use your privilege. Ask about warrants. Keep them talking. Don't act threatening, but conversational. Also be loud (but not threatening, learn to project your voice!). So folks know what's up.
