Trying bluesky!!! (My profile picture is from Infinity Train (Pretty pretty please watch it))
I started playing wind waker maybe two weeks after my grandma died and I hadn't really let that reality sink in too much.
Then I got to the part where you're leaving outset island and everyone is waving you goodbye. And when it cuts to Link's grandma, I fucking lost it.

If you see this post your favorite albums!

There was a period in time where I literally just listened to Ta-Dah cover to cover for like 4 months. It was a really bad four months but they made it better!

A little late in the season but another halloween rec:

Haunting of Hill House (2018) is a Netflix series and a proper ghost story. In this case the movie is about familial trauma and strife. How what happened to you as a kid can Haunt you as an adult and the different ways people cope with that.

Another fantastic Halloween movie is Paranorman! One of it's greatest strengths is Norman's power is that he listens. There's so much classic iconography that it feels like a love letter to zombie movies and it oozes Halloween imagery. Its a really touching story of pain, loss and acceptance.

Watching Dandadan after reading it and man I'm so pleased with Shion Wakayama as Momo. She really nails Momo's energy and voice so well

Yearly Halloween watch for me is Francis Ford Coppola's Bram Stoker's Dracula. It's a french vanilla retelling of Dracula. If you haven't seen it before, I defo recommend it for a group watch. Eiko Ishioka was the costume designer and she goes for some truly incredible designs!
