My only complaint is is that they showed me no mercy while I was having a bad hair day. I had to take off my hat, which likely made it look even worse.

at 4:29 first say here's your number. And at 4:31 says "Your ticket is being served at Window 12".

And then the rest of it only took about 10 minutes. Verification of documents, eye test, photo. That's it.

This was more than a decade after Fox News had been doing it's damage, but this still seemed like a plausible outcome in 2013. I cannot imagine that today, after people started being okay with the news making up stories - when it was a story they wanted to hear.

I could read the disks, but he didn't want to set up a virtual DOS circa 1991 to run the software, but was hoping to generate license certificates. Even if I could, they would be for 1991 laws.

I got a call from a guy who needed two 3.5" floppy disks read, so that documents on them could be printed. It turns out they were disks with real estate software from 1991 ! No certificates to be printed on them, as each disk was a test application, of about 150 questions each. <more>

There are terms like “inflation adjusted returns” that are considered basic econ 101 lessons. But there seems to be a push to talk about how 'the market is going up', even when it is a handful of meme based AI stocks pulling the averages up, even when most of the major stocks are trending down.

And when he gave me his address, it turned out to be San Antonio, Texas. The reason he called me was because when you log onto craigslist, the default location is the SF Bay Area where I live. And he didn't know how to change his search location.
