Mostly here to talk about RPGs. Maybe some other stuff that matters.

I like to post all the gameplay I can. Sometimes it’s solo play, sometimes it’s with friends. Check it out here:

Present problems without having any solution in mind. The players will have a better one anyway.

100%! Present problems, not solutions!

The dirty secret is you can just wait for someone to bring up a good solution and be like, “oh yeah that’s totally what I had prepared all along!”

Sorry, to clarify, surely for some tables/games, making the better of two bad choices can be extremely ‘on-brand’ and suit some tables very well… I think it’s more in the delivery, yes?

But why?

These look great! Is there any significance to the color choices?

enjoyed with no controversy at all. The GAME you play doesn't matter, you can get 'beginners mind' through ANY version of D&D.

Giving Hasbro's D&D time and attention is like feeding a troll. You're only contributing to their chokehold on the industry. I couldn't disagree more.

Thanks for reading!

When hasbro attempted to arrest control over this hobby, they showed their true colors. There's nothing to be gained by forgetting they tried to do this but by forgetting it and relaxing we give them an opportunity to try it again.

Besides, there's plenty of good games out there that can be

However, this sentiment takes a nosedive when Runehammer suggests we all 'forgive and forget' Hasbro over the OGL scandal; that we should be 'grateful' that they actually ended up giving out D&D rules under a creative license.

I regularly use ChatGPT as a sounding board for our campaign. “Help me with obstacles that could be in XYZ dungeon,” etc. Honestly it saves so much time I couldn’t manage a long term campaign without it.

By coincidence I once had a game night of just our party’s two goblins just up to goblin shenanigans in the city. It was amazing, weird, and hilarious all in the same night.

That session we coined goblin charisma as “givin’ ‘em the GobLiN WiNk’ and it’s literally never failed.

Following a trail of decapitated animals and ending the night camping outside a crazed hermits abode.

I think by next session they’ll be getting out… assuming they follow the path out. But who’s to say…

A meandering trail through a deserted village and falling into bonemeal quicksand.

Then they came upon a tar pit an acre in size and one character slain by the tar monster (reskinned Junkenrotter therein - dead in one critical hit slap!)

In the first session of exploring the Court, the party spent time sabotaging the trail for their pursuers, encountering a Medusa, and stumbled across an Owl-Griffin’s nest… just in time for the mothers return! A narrow escape that cost us one Crawler.
