Apparently someone has made a list of all of the Holy figures that show up in defense of the Sunwell. Everybody's there, and I do mean EVERYBODY.

I should start a blog about Tin Can sea stories. Seriously, I could fill out a dozen on my own. Singapore. Pattaya Beach. The NTDS Incident. How we saved another Frigate's Air Search Radar. How a Pelican Destroyed My Hat. Fighting a Fire without a proper OBA. You get the picture.

So, in the 80s I served aboard a US Naval Frigate, the USS Reid, if you care. Picture attached. This image was taken from someone on the ship that we were getting ready to refuel from, commonly called UNREP (Underway Replenishment), a tricky maneuver.

Taken during UNREP. I was probably on the 01 level, midships, operating the SP phone to the bridge. Apparently they thought I did a good job at it. Which is great, since I didn't wanna haul a line anyway.
