Got the mythical 8 person #MTGCube draft last night.
Drafted an Unpowered Midrange-y value cube and wound up GR splash Omnath.
Deck definitely could have used another instant speed removal spell. Died to Mother + Giver + Jitte.

For peasant I think some of the blue faeries are interesting enough.
In my non-peasant, not-super-high-power cube I think Diviner and Kirol are the most intriguing as effects that kind of encourage building to them.

Deck felt fine; I got to do double Man-o'-War + Kirol loops, but I lacked an obvious bomb to go over the top with and felt forced into being solidly 3 color despite minimal fixing because of a need to play double red.

Hostage Taker'd a Cloudgoat Ranger; they got it back via O Ring. Then when I went to kill the Goat again a turn later they had drawn Ephemerate and I just drowned in tokens.

Also beat a Reveillark combo deck after she decked herself with Out of the Tombs - couldn't win the same turn (infinitely large creatures, but only one with haste that I could block), and I cast Once More with Feeling for lethal on my turn.

I was 9th seed at the end of rounds, but one of the top 8 couldn't reschedule a flight so I snuck in.
Was very fortunate that top 8 was a cube I can handle, I'm terrible at those high power vintage-y cubes.
Took down the tournament with RB Aggro.

Just for another data point I took the top 100 cubes by popularity on CubeCobra and looked at their inclusions. Some of those cubes, obviously, are time-restricted or in some other way might not consider every release, but it provides a similar list with some differences in order.

Next up was 7 people for my Peasant-ish #MTGCube, with 5 of them being new to the cube.

Yeah, and a lot of literary references that Ne Zha's borrowing are still "fresh" to me as someone without much background on Chinese lore - so getting some exposure to those is fun too.
Definitely has been a good year for high-profile Chinese animation; I also still need to watch I Am What I Am 2.

- Fresh Start is one of the cleaner ways to do blue enchantment based removal.
- Sokka is such a great way to implement that Glimmer Lens draw effect - especially at uncommon.

It doesn't actually bother me that much, just something fun to complain about. I do find that I tend to have 15%+ of the cube in the process of being signed at any given time though, so by the time some of those make it back I'll have cut them anyways.
