Hampton Sides’ books are amazing: Hellhound on His Trail is probably my favourite but also last year’s The Wide Wide Sea was outstanding.
Also Chaos: Charles Manson, the CIA, and the Secret History of the Sixties by Tom O’Neill is a perspective altering book
