Rebel Planet hooked me immediately. Lyons writes with such clear, cinematic detail that every scene feels as if you’re watching a movie.

And the ending? Absolutely perfect. I’m all about last lines, and this one landed exactly the way I hoped it would.

I just shared a new article answering a question someone recently asked me: Did I create the Grim Reaper first, or did the stories shape who he became?

If you’ve ever wondered how the Reaper in my books came to life, I think you will enjoy this one. Read it here:

I completely agree with Harry—standing where they once stood fills you with wonder. What must they have felt, staring out into the unknown? The beauty of Sagres still calls us to explore, to question, and to discover more.

Lisbon holds not one, but two great “cities of the dead.” I visited Cemitério do Alto de São João, where marble gates & sunlight reveal stories of love and remembrance. Across the city stands its twin, Cemitério dos Prazeres, equally grand & filled with history.

We’ve all seen the image — the hooded figure with a scythe — but have you ever wondered where that image came from, or why we fear it?

In this post, I explore how the Reaper’s story began, how it changed through history, and why my version is different.

Why We’re Drawn to the Grim Reaper
You’ve probably seen him a hundred times: a skeletal figure in a dark cloak, a scythe in hand, silent and looming.
