It probably came from Spanish “Conversar”. The suffix ar in verbs often changes to ate in conversion to English.

The key difference is reusability. We know very well how to make single-use rockets.
The space shuttle was special due to reusability. It stopped flying because we lost 14 people in two accidents.
Starship is exploding because they are trying to make a rocket larger than Saturn V fully reusable.

Their assumed relationship ends first half of book 2. The show never shows the heroic Rand. The Rand that dragged his dying father through Trolloc and Fade infested woods back to Emond's Field. The Rand that took care and got Mat's Shadar-Logoth Dagger-poisoned shell of a man to Camlyn over months.

She really did do an incredible job. In a series with 2700+ named characters, she seems to have a voice for each one!
