No wonder so many opt not to have kids. Your guest discussed optimism in parenting, but missed out how many are too worried about future finances, employment and climate security to consider kids. Enjoying parenting is fab, but that is nothing like enough if you can't see a viable future.

But you missed that housing and living is so costly it's near impossible to pay for kids and a roof without both parents working full time. Parenting isn't just time spent with kids, it's also 3 x the cleaning, organising, shopping, cooking, laundry; another full time job!
