Dehd - Poetry // Poetry was one of my favorites last year. This album captures a spirit of fun through quirky yet engaging instrumentation and clever vocal implementation with each member contributing. Dehd also recently performed at KEXP, check it out.

Washed Out - Paracosm // Earnest popularized all things chillwave. Love his entire discography but this one holds a special place in my psyche. Might be dating myself here, but this one was an integral part of my university experience. Beautiful album.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Cool It Down // Quality production without the pitfalls of feeling overdone. Dreamy vocals often paired with infectious synths and well crafted beats that keep my attention throughout. I believe this release was worth the wait.

Beach Fossils - Somersault // Easy going indie pop with a polished sound. This album marks a departure from lo-fi but retains their character well. Thematically the work leans heavily on positivity and leaves me feeling refreshed.

Tame Impala - Currents // Genre descriptors seem to fall short of what this album hits on. It's definitely psychedelic but pulls from so many other influences. Great album overall, feels like I'm noticing something new every time I revisit it.
