Been having to rework some of the innards of the systems built so they can be scalable and optimized, as well as experimenting a bit more with the art direction, here's a WIP peek 😁
Bit stuck with some materials behaving differently in editor than runtime but working on it!

And I've gotten a first pass of what could be the logo... lemme know your thoughts! I suck at graphic design ✨

I chose the aurora as a background because that's my mom's name and without her support this wouldn't exist. My brother chose his company's name in her honour, I'm doing my logo instead 😁

Got the hosting setup and working thanks to Alchemy Interactive, owned by an amazing guy that's an old friend of mine.

Not me getting distracted from working on the npc logic by making a level editor. I swear it's related alright 😂

This way it'll be easier for me to locate blocks with code and create maps 😁
It's using invisible screen space buttons but I gotta make them be world space

Added new match settings! Now there's the proper perma-death and you can choose your preferred match length.
Smoothed the character rotation which improved the visuals a lot I think.

It's really hard to play two players at the same time btw!

Classic falling wall of death is in !
Sped it up for the video but it won't be as fast and there won't be re-spawning of course.
So much math in this!

Lots of progress on the UI front from that first video!
The lobby shows the characters, allows you to connect with a code instead of IP, and added the ability to kick players (the server host and the local host).
Camera settings for the matches.
And a winning screen!

Added dual touch screen controls. I've learnt that one must make the actual button area bigger than the graphic!

Hit a big milestone today and have one announcement.
Announcement is that the game will go by Mushboom from now on.

Tested online for the first time and it was almost flawless with one exception of peer not being able to kick the bomb on their client.
With lobby codes instead of IPs! Thanks to Tube
