So for a 145% tariff on China, you would have to assume that Chinese vendors have more than a 60% markup and can live on a reduction of income of that amount (if price is maintained the same).

Incorrect, but I take your point. @lawrenceodonnell.msnbc.com was incorrect in his statement. But ‪@talsorapa.bsky.social‬ above has the math correct. The way to think of this, imo, is that Trump imagines the government can pocket the tariff, foreign companies give up their profits.

Sorry. I like a lot of your takes, but I think you lost it here. I thought Cenk was incredibly accommodating and respectful to you. And I really do not understand your logic in your attacks and vituperativeness.

so…just thought i’d let you know.

now i suppose i can be blasted for being dumb.

All of what Trump said was awful, except the condolences and moment of silence.

And then the follow-on suck-ups also talking about the flight controllers, as if that has anything to do with this.

So.... when will you be issuing a statement as to why you backed Kristi Noem for Homeland Security. Just wondering. I really cannot understand that vote.

and by ‘Biden’s use of pardons’ I mean the blanket pardons for his family and such. I understand the urge and the argument. But Trumps aberrant use of pardons should not be normalized.

I thought your essay on the possibility of shame impacting Republicans wrt the pardons of the violent 1/6 offenders was good. BUT…as someone on the left, I am none too pleased with Biden’s use of pardons either. I understand the reasoning, but I dislike normalizing blanket pardons. we’ll regret it.
