We imagine that mid-terms will deliver a blow to the GOP. Why do we not believe his "braintrust" has not been preparing to foil the will of the people in November 2026? After all, many failed to see how thoroughly they planned for bypassing the traditional constitutional limits to executive power

We know from his first term that Trump's worst instincts were minimized by the "guardrails" then in place.
He's no brighter now than then, but those who crafted Project 2025 on his behalf have carefully bypassed those guardrails, at least to a surprising degree since inauguration.

Watching yesterday's presser with Netanyahu a few times, I'm starting to think Trump was seeing "his" Gaza remarks for the first time, as he was reading them aloud. As usual, his impromptu asides sounded so out of place, inserted into his typically awkward reading of a scripted speech.

With the limited attention span of the goldfish in charge (well, he's really more of an orangefish), it could be either. It might even be both. Only time will tell.

In a little more than 2 weeks, he's already set sights on taking over Canada, Greenland, the Panama Canal, & the Gaza strip.

Where have we seen that behavior before?

The Canadian government sent an office intern to Kinko's with a few dollars withdrawn from petty cash. The existing Cabinet Minister, already with responsibility for Canadian border security, now has new business cards with the words "Border Czar" added.

Thus, the mango maniac was appeased for now.

For a big guy, he sure is easily affected by changing winds.

What he says depends on who he's saying it to.

The man is full of it!

Establish that, for the consequential power Musk has claimed for himself, congressional approval is essential. Be sure to invite his children to testify. Also his mother so she can scold everyone who's being "mean" to her little baby. (That last invite is suggested for its obvious comedy potential.)

If he truly wanted an actual deal, he wouldn't put "deal" in quotation marks.

When it comes to stupidity in the senate, Johnson is the fool's gold standard.
(Emphasis on the "fool".)
