56 years ago, an uprising at the Stonewall Inn in NYC changed the course of history.✊

Stonewall was not the first LGBTQ+ uprising against police brutality. See: Pepper Hill Club Raid, Hazel's Inn, Cooper's Do-Nut Raid, Black Nite Brawl, Compton's Cafeteria Raid, and Black Cat Raid. 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

GR Pride Festival this weekend was a blast! However, the long days in the roasting heat took a toll on our staff's energy level, so we will be closing our office tomorrow (Monday, 6/23) to recover!

Regular office hours will resume Tuesday, June 24th.

Today's SCOTUS decision in the "US vs Skrmetti" case is disappointing and dangerous, but Grand Rapids Trans Foundation and Grand Rapids Pride Center will continue to fight for Trans self-determination. Stay strong.

We all deserve the freedom to shape our own futures.

We were honored & thrilled to send some of our team to Equality Michigan's 2025 LGBTQ Capitol Day this past week! Over 200 people from around Michigan converged in Lansing to advocate for our rights and our dignity. The energy was incredible!
