However, their initial success turns to failure due to the Hezrou’s at-will darkness and fear abilities. Rubeus the Fighter and Elvixior the Elf flee from supernatural fear, while the others struggle against the darkness.

Reaching a crossroads, one path descends steeply into water, while another leads to a foul-smelling pool. Udolfo, the Magic-User, uses ESP to detect a monster in ambush. The party lures it out by feigning retreat, and the Hezrou follows.

The fishmen flee into the cave, and one is instantly killed by a falling piercer. The party cautiously clears a narrow passage by peppering the ceiling with arrows.

Choosing a different passage from the shore, they ignore fossilized ammonites in the cave walls. They surprise another group of Deep Ones ahead of a cavern filled with stalactites.

Hearing guttural chanting from a side cave, they explore and surprise a group of Deep Ones worshipping a statue of Dagon. Despite being bombarded with fish-stench and blinding-salt petards, they triumph and take two captives. They also pluck two gemstones from the statue’s eye sockets.

You made me start watching! Despite having a lot of nostalgia for Limp Bizkit, I agree not the best choice for an otherwise visually great intro. But overall all the nu metal and especially Last Resort during the chase - strange, but very appealing choice!

Xor used his ring of telekinesis to throw them off the bridge, but they couldn't figure out he was doing it. Then when they all charged through, he cut the ropes and sent them to the lower level.
Nevertheless, they were eventually victorious and killed Xor with 3 fireballs.

Very cool! Really shows how many points of entry this megadungeon has! That was one challenge I faced when running it - I didn't know from which side the part will enter, so I would have to prep every entrance. Rough!
