LSU should tell him he can finish the season at Ole Miss if he signs on. Why rush? Who would LSU be missing out on if they wait for Kiffen? And if he makes the playoffs, that helps recruiting for next year.

I think they should have a hiring window for coaches that opens after the national championship game.
A coach (or coordinator) should be able to finish the year out with their current team without getting another job.
The NFL should do this too. Quit poaching coaches in the middle of the playoffs.

My theory:
Partly because the first Trump admin mostly kept him constrained.
And partly, that in Trump 1 most people thought of him as a clown because they knew about his career before he was president. Now, 10 years later, anyone under 40 really only knows Trump from his political career.
