If this is priced at $3.2B now and using the same metric this gov used to cancel the ferries the likely cost will end up at $7B. Be cheaper to have free buses every 5min from the Airport to the hutt.

Just as aside, last Sat I took public transport to get from Milford to the Airport. Went well took 1.40 hours. caught the NX1 to town then train to Puhinui, then the shuttle to the Airport. Would recommend. But of course a train from the city centre to the airport even better, even better NS to AP.

I used to be a sailmaker and December was always a shit month because people would come in and ask if we could repair their sails that they had ripped last xmas but forgot to organise then. Then they would get shitty at you for saying haven't got time. That's why there is not many sailmakers left.

I used to walk past the Bridgeway tavern every morning going to work and the public bay was always full and noisy and that was at 7.30am, about 1981. Men letting off steam after working all night on the wharfs I think.
