Arguments come and go, but the small ones usually end up like this, all thanks to Pino and Rody's inability to lie. He's starting not to mind it as much.

They don't agree on what they were fighting about, but they agree to stop upsetting each other, to give themselves a break. Pino makes contented sounds, flying up and nestling in Izuku's hair. The boy doesn't seem to care, because he still pulls back to kiss Rody.

Izuku opens his arms; a welcome, a peace offering. Rody is distrustful at first, staring at his partner even as Pino snuggles closer, but finally he gives in. He hugs Izuku close, one hand around his waist and the other behind the back of his head.

Pino pecks Izuku's cheek, snuggling close even as Rody looks away, crossing his arms to cover himself. The argument stills, both of them standing awkwardly in front of each other, the only sounds being soft sniffles.

Izuku is crying too, of course he is. He thinks he's right, he's stubborn like that, but he knows how much Rody is hurting, and that hurts him too. He tries to get closer, to touch his shoulder or take his hand or do anything to soothe him, but Rody backs away.

Rody tries to get out of the house, go for a walk to cool off, but Pino keeps him inside, crying on Izuku's shoulder, her sad sounds seeming like she was apologising to him on Rody's behalf.

Rody tries to keep his distance, but Pino sticks close to Izuku, almost glaring at her owner because he might be thinking that he's in the right, but he knows that he's hurting Izuku.

Pino cried, and Rody cradled her in his hands, walking outside to not wake up his siblings. He watched the stars, and he knew that he couldn't share even that with Deku because it would be late morning for him.

He was dreaming about them and the events that led to them meeting, and then the dream turned into Otheon fields, an old truck and green eyes. Rody started hearing a laugh he only got to experience once, one so relieved and happy he couldn't help but mimick it.
