Ah, what is annoying is those look very much like Viking longboats. At the time of the Trojan War, the common Mycenaean ships were the Triaconter and Penteconter (# of oars main difference), as stylized on this 4th Century BC vase of Odysseus' ship, plus these replicas. Very different.

Sitting in in the Chinese Theater with my cousin, opening week for Apocalypse Now. The first reel rolls and we hear Jim Morrison singing The End. It's probably the most evocatively surreal moment I ever had in a film as the mix of music and visuals set off a ton of emotions.
