Another major AWS outage.

The challenge here isn't to get five in a row; It's to fill out the entire card in two weeks.

We will be playing 90 minutes of *only* Ace Combat music, set to visuals telling the stories of AC 5, 7 and Zero.

Be there.

Those who know me shouldn't be surprised here. After getting to see and meet @essenger.bsky.social at a DC show, they're a daily listen at this point.

This whole year has been far more synthwave/darkwave for me, and will likely continue for a very long time.

Battlestation upgrade get.

Normal desk now for once, with monitor stands to get them off the desk for more space.

It's not uncommon for me to deploy my laptops after a day-job gig so this setup accommodates for file transfers from everywhere.

All on a 5Gb/10Gb network to a NAS too.

AI-related question to spur up a chat.

While many of us rightfully reject Generative-AI content that lives off the backs of real working artists, what are people's feelings on things like ChatGPT that *generally* are less on theft of content and more on being a "really advanced search engine"?

Go.

Watch.

NAO.

If you're on my timeline you know how much I love all things gaming, so if you love that AND gaming music, you *need* to go enjoy this.

He's done multiple Replays (and has many epic tracks on his channel) and this one is insanely good.

GOOOOOOO. CLICKY.
Replay 2025 is LIVE. The definitive metal tribute to the history of video games from 1972 to 2025.

I know I've been quiet this year, but thank you all for sticking with me. I spent all year on bringing this to life. I’m really excited for you to hear it.

New workspace get.

Need to clean up cables a little bit but this is the gist of it.

I need more screens.

I WOULD do Desk Arm Mounts for the monitors but... these literally don't have VESA mount support. I might see about 3D Printing something though, but that's for another day.

Within the next 24 hours, I should be owning a computer desk that isn't a taped-together 6 foot folding table.

I think I might officially qualify to be an adult now.

Sometimes, this is my workstation.

"Shading" cameras; Basically, making them all look good. Iris, White Balance, Gain, every control live, in real time, during all changes throughout the gig.

Ended up doing eight cameras at the same time <.<

Not TOOOOO bad... but geez that was tiring.

My floor is now clean! Much productivity today! Cleaned all sorts of stuff today!

It may or may not have been incentivized by me carrying a 5-gallon bucket full of water and having its handle break on me in the middle of the living room, but that's beside the point!

The floor and walls are clean!

For what it's worth, I picked up SlimeVR trackers because myriads of my friends had issues with them, and I'm thinking "Nah, with all the documentation out there and the popularity, surely it's user error."

10 hours in, still can't get them to calibrate and align properly.

Per some MAGFest stuffs, albeit not mentioning anything specific:

What hurts *me* most is genuinely wishing I could help, be better, find improvements, facilitate communication, provide answers, and provide comfort...

...and feeling unable to do any of it.

..... :(

Something something moon pic from around 5am last night. From the cell pic, there was moderately heavy cloud coverage for most of the night, but as seen in the pic, I eventually got a full clearing.

My MAGFest prep is basically in full swing now.

Enjoy a sneak-peak at a live render in Resolume using a logo the Design Team made, split up into 20 layers then another 8 layers for everything else.

All completely live, so it'll react to ANY audio.

(Audio comes in hot at 10s)

As unfortunate as it is, I think the reality of progression now requires artists to save some screenshots or video of their art progress in order to prove they made it from scratch and not via AI.

Just something for artists to think about. I don't think there's any other way around it.

ProBot has just been hacked, presumably. A huge number of people are joining the support server and the bot has spammed “everyone hacked” on the support server.

ProBot & ProBot Prime are currently offline!

So the Discord bot ProBot has been hacked.

If you use it, I hope your permissions are set up correctly for Bots to not have the ability to do hostile takeover.

Very worth migrating to something else, because a hacked bot is one that can get into EVERYTHING you gave it permission for.

I'm *really* happy they brought attention to the AWS outages that VRChat was notoriously dealing with over the past few forever.

Here's hoping their migrations to in-house services can mitigate many of these disruptions.

Maybe it'll fix the endless "Avatars never loading" problems.
October 24, 2025 at 2:21 AM
AWS outages have been non-stop for the past several months.

The other service providers out there don't even have to advertise anymore to get new customers at this rate.

...I also genuinely hope some of the services I use on AWS regularly *DO* make a migration to a better platform <.<
